Halloween and the Month of the Dead

Intrepid visitors are invited to brave the dark and participate in some exciting and scary activities offered at the Plains of Abraham. With family or friends, meet ghosts from the past and learn about the grim history of the Plains and the characters who shaped it. Engage in the season well beyond October 31!

Decorations at the Garden

Take a stroll around the Joan of Arc Garden where mysterious decors inspired by legends illustrate the history of the Plains of Abraham: the white lady of Cap Diamant, the Sabbath, the voices of Joan of Arc, the widow's walk, drunkenness and temperance, public punishment, etc. Tombstones also remind vistors of personalities who left their mark on the park.

Haunted Tower

Fabulous decors await you in the Martello Tower, including scenes like the mysterious forest and the astronomical observatory. Watch your back, soldiers may surprise you! A must-see for families

With entertainment, a standalone quiz and a tour on the mini-train at the Joan of Arc Garden.

Raptor Talons

Owl, falcon, kite… Dispel any myths that you may have regarding these mysterious birds. Falconry demonstrations, information on the habits of diurnal and nocturnal birds of prey. An exciting and intriguing afternoon of aerial acrobatics featuring several live birds of prey.

Ghoulish Walk

Lantern in hand, join this spellbinding interactive walking tour to discover the Battlefields Park under a ghoulish light.

Shed some light on the dark history of the Plains of Abraham and the many obscure legends linked to it. Dare to meet a thief, a treasure hunter, and period characters, intriguing and mysterious. With them, learn about military discipline in the Martello towers, surgery at the time of the battles, public hangings, origins of Halloween and black masses on the Plains.
